Horse Racing: Absa Lutte looks refreshed and ready to kick on for victory at Kempton

ABSA LUTTE turned in a useful performance after returning from a short break last time and she can strike gold at Kempton, writes ANITA CHAMBERS.

The seven-year-old switched from Ireland towards the end of last term after a largely indifferent run of form, but the move seems to have worked wonders for the mare.

A winner over five furlongs at Kempton on her first start for Patrick Morris, she has since struck twice more at the venue over six.

After rounding off 2009 in style, Morris gave Absa Lutte a few weeks on the easy list before sending her back over the minimum trip at the Sunbury track. She had to travel wide of her rivals that day and was not beaten far in fourth, a performance which bodes well for the Bistro In The Panoramic Bar & Restaurant Handicap, especially has she has been dropped 1lb. Lovers Causeway, meanwhile, can make it a hat-trick in the digibet.com Handicap. Mark Johnston's colt is on quite a roll at present and beat reopposing rival Exceedthewildman by just under a length giving weight away last time.

Lovers Causeway is getting weight from him this time around and he looks a horse to stay on the right side of.

Quinsman can prove the star turn in Lingfield's We Love Our New Zealand Lamb Leg Stakes. Winner of two of his three starts on the all-weather at the end of last year, Stan Moore's runner was only edged out by a neck on his first outing of 2010 last month.

He was game in defeat that day and is unpenalised as he tackles a mile and five furlongs this time.

Zero Cool can make the most of a 1lb drop in the ratings in the second division of the Breathe Spa At Marriott Lingfield Handicap.

Alan King's runners are in fantastic form at present after overcoming a sticky patch earlier in the season and he has a likely winner at Leicester in Stoney's Treasure.

The six-year-old was successful on his novice hurdling bow at Lingfield last November and defied his penalty to follow up at Plumpton last month.

He looked capable of further improvement on that form and is of interest as he switches to full company in the ladbrokes.com Golden Miller Handicap Hurdle.
