Hogg backed to cope with Hibs return

Former Hibs captain Chris Hogg won't be fazed by his quick-fire return to Easter Road, new Inverness team-mate David Proctor insisted today.

On Saturday, less than a month after being released by Colin Calderwood, Hogg will be back at the ground where he played for almost six years as part of a Caley side unbeaten since his surprise move to the Highlands. But while admitting it will be an emotional day for the 25-year-old, former Hibs kid Proctor claimed Hogg's biggest worry will probably be heading for the wrong dressing-room.

Proctor is adamant Hogg's professionalism will kick in when he's on the pitch and sentiment will be pushed to one side as he seeks to end Hibs' run of three successive wins.

He said: "Chris has been pretty quiet but he's looking forward to it. He'll have plenty of friends at Easter Road for sure. I'm sure it will be an emotional moment when he walks into the stadium and the memories will come flooding back. However, as a professional you go and do your job. Out of habit he may find himself heading for the home dressing-room but on the pitch he'll be well aware he's playing in blue and not green."
