SCOTTISH Conservative leader Ruth Davidson has won herself a host of new admirers on Twitter after a deadpan response to Jim Murphy was retweeted over 700 times.

“You ok, hun?” was Davidson’s mock concern at the emotional well-being of Murphy after the Scottish Labour leader blasted David Cameron on the social network.

Murphy called Cameron a “cheerleader” for the SNP after the PM had sent out his own message urging the UK Twittersphere to vote Conservative in the upcoming general election.

Cameron wrote: “The SNP say “If you hold the balance, then you hold the power.” They’d hold Ed Miliband to ransom. You can stop this by voting Conservative.”

Murphy fired back with: “@David_Cameron < You have demeaned the Office of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom to become a desperate cheerleader for the SNP.”

It set the scene for Davidson to ‘win Twitter’ as she took the seriousness right out of the situation with only three words.

It wasn’t long before her followers expressed their appreciation.

Timothy Moore wrote: “I think @RuthDavidsonMSP has just become my favourite Tory!”

Angus MacNeil said: “The answer is “probably not”

While @theamandaball tweeted: “You’re ruddy awesome Ruth.”
