Tesco stocks up on staff for Picardy store

A NEW city-centre Tesco Express store has recruited 25 members of staff ahead of its opening this week.

The shop in Picardy Place has filled all its positions with people who live nearby, after receiving more than 220 applications.

Manager Steve Horsburgh said: "I was thrilled by the huge response we received to our recruitment drive."

The shop will open at 8am on January 20, with an official ceremony at 10.30am, when Lesley Fraser-Taylor, charitymanager for Forth One's Cash For Kids campaign will be presented with a cheque for 500 for the charity from Tesco.
