Police seeking fake workmen

A PAIR of bogus workmen who targeted a pensioner by claiming to be carrying out repairs to her common stair are being hunted by police.

The conmen used fake ID to gain entry to the home of the 68-year-old woman in Westfield Road at around 11.30am on Wednesday.

The first suspect is described as 5ft 9in, in his mid-20s, very slim, with fair cropped hair.

The second suspect is described as 5ft 5ins, late 20s, average build, with dark short cropped hair, and dark brown eyes and he was very tidy.
