Pair admit racial abuse

A drunken confrontation in the street ended with two men appearing in court for racially aggravated offences.

Steven Tully and Daniel Valenti squared up to a group of Polish people after they saw one arguing with his girlfriend.

Tully, 16, of Stewartfield, Broxburn, pleaded guilty to shouting racial abuse at Alexander Iszak and Mirislova Adamcova in Broxburn. Valenti, 20, of McCann Avenue, Broxburn, admitted assaulting Rolan Nagy.

Both were put on probation for six months.
