The referendum on Scottish independence has turned the Conservative Party from “toxic Tories” to the champions of the silent majority, Scottish leader Ruth Davidson has claimed.

Speaking to the party conference in Birmingham, Ms Davidson said The Tories want to work for the majority who desire “sensible centre-ground policies” in contrast to the increasingly left-wing SNP and Labour parties.
