Man's body found in Dunfermline alleyway

FIFE police have launched an investigation after the discovery of a man's body in an alleyway in Dunfermline.

The man was found this morning in the High Street area of Dunfermline, and the scene has been cordoned off while police investigate.

Detective Inspector David McLaren, who is leading the investigation for Fife Constabulary, said "We are in the very early stages of an investigation and at this time we are treating the death as unexplained.

"As we carry out further inquiries, an area of High Street, Dunfermline, will remain cordoned and there will be increased police activity.

"I would urge anyone who has any information that may assist us in our investigation to call Fife Constabulary."
