Colour splash could win netbooks

PRIMARY pupils in Edinburgh are being urged to "get creative" with technology as part of a new art competition.

Organisers at Lapsafe Products say they want local "wannabe Warhols" to draw "something that makes them happy" for the chance to win five netbooks for their school and a laptop storage trolley to charge them in. The winning artist will receive a netbook.

Lapsafe director Denise Cole said: "We've been working within the education sector for more than ten years and are always impressed at just how creative teachers and students can be. Students should have fun with their entries and use as many bright colours as possible."

The competition is open to all primary age children and special educational needs pupils. Entry forms can be downloaded from www.lapsafe.com/competition. The deadline for entries is March 31.
