ISLAMISTS in southern Somalia have stoned a man to death for adultery but spared his pregnant girlfriend until she gives birth.
Extremist group Al-Shabaab, widely seen as the Taleban of Africa, executed 33-year-old Abas Hussein Abdirahman in front of a crowd of around 300 in the port of Merka.

An official from the group, which is officially regarded as a terrorist-supporting organisation by US authorities, said the man's unidentified lover would face the same fate after her child is born. The infant will be given to family members.

Al-Shahaab have already stoned two other adulterers to death this year.

its a wonder we are allowed to comment on this
what if christians in the uk took offence at muslim extremists spouting death to us etc and waged their own jihad on them, bet pc mob would be out to defend the bearded ones
we live in a so called democracy?,but do we ?,when outsiders can come in and tell us how to live our lives ,and moan to get preferential treatment
no wonder bnp support has risen in the uk,its been fuelled by these extremists, and people are sick to the back teeth of getting no help whilst others are handed vast sums
racism rife, whilst glasgow sinks in religous bigitory, the stench of the bile is bad,yet labour and the orange lodge will try at all costs to kill demnocracy, just to make sure that the snp dont win the byelection
ah well if glaswegians want to live in abject poverty and misery,go ahead and vote for the status quo,but dont whine when its goes against your way of living
want to see the result of 75 years of labour mps being always voted in ,in glasgow ,watch this
they may be glaswegians ,but they are human beings and deserve better

Reading the comments of Alice and Drunken i am getting very confused...
Alice your words "It's a wonder we are allowed to comment on this"...?!
It is not because we are not muslim that we should be indifferent to the fate of a woman who has been condemned to such an horrible death!
It is not a matter of religion here, but of human right!
We, human being can be primitive and are capable of attrocity, wether we are atheist, mulsulman, christian does not affect the matter that much, let's stop hidding behind religion for a moment please!

The fate of this woman should be a wake up call to all of us - how can we let this happen!
She - just like the rest of us - is a human being.
Can we save her, is the only question we should ask ourselves right now... can we, and if we can, then how?!

This makes me sad. My prayers go out to this woman and her unborn child.

Chrisouxxx, you are right! how can we get this woman out of Somalia? I think of her and it pains me to think at a time when she should have so much to look forward to, she is waiting to be stoned. We need to save this woman, it is not right that we sit and watch.

I have sisters and if this was their fate I would do all I can to help them.
