BORIS Johnson told thousands of Muslims gathered in London today that he was proud of his Islamic heritage.
Speaking at a free event in Trafalgar Square celebrating the Muslim festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, The Mayor of London said: "In 1908, my father's father's father came to south London. He was a Muslim and he knew the Koran off by heart in Arabic. He would
be amazed to discover that his great-grandson had become Mayor of London."

Crowds descended on the landmark in warm sunshine for the third annual Eid In The Square to mark the end of Ramadan with music, exhibitions, activities and prayers.

Top preacher falls

US EVANGELIST Billy Graham was taken to hospital yesterday after tripping and falling over one of his dogs at his North Carolina home, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The 89-year-old was at Mission Hospital in Asheville suffering from discomfort and bruising, and hoped to be home later in the day, spokeswoman Merrell Gregory said.

For six decades, Graham led a worldwide crusade-based ministry that packed stadiums with believers and allowed him to counsel every US president since Harry S Truman.

A man is now in custody on suspicion of possession of a Section 1 firearm.

I took my kids to this festival to learn about other religion. The food was good and then they loved a boat trip on the Thames. Nice day out.

Gosh, Boy Wonder. So you think Muslim heritage is something to be ashamed of? Shame on YOU, rather?

And Brage, though Blair might have been a brilliant scholar and a nice chap, he was not really a leader of men and women, was he? And surely that was a main part of his job?
