BRITISH employers believe more young people should be taking vocational qualifications, research has found.
More than eight in 10 (85%) business leaders said they would encourage youngsters to take up the qualifications.

The survey, by education charity Edge, found more than half of business leaders (55%) believe vocational qualifications, which are work-related courses, boost students' earning potential, while 57% believe students on these courses are more ready for work from day one.
