LINDA Stewart is director of hair and beauty group Rainbow Room International and, along with husband and partner Alan, is the current UK Hairdressing Business Director of the Year. Linda was instrumental in setting up the company's beauty salons.
What is your best beauty product?Darphin Intral Balm, which is brilliant for many things – if you ever have a spot breakout or even if your skin needs a bit of a boost, or is sore or sensitive in any way.
What's your top beauty tip?Hang your head upside down every so often – my yoga teacher says it is supposed have an anti-ageing effect.
What are your best and worst features?My eyes, I am told, are my best feature. I don't quite know what is my worst. I'd like my teeth to be straighter, though.
What was your biggest beauty disaster?When we first opened the beauty salon, the therapists needed a model to practise the Frigi-Thalgo wrap on. This consists of cold, wet bandages wrapped round the legs and stomach to get rid of cellulite. Once the bandages are removed, you are supposed to carry out an invigorating massage to help get the circulation back. As they were only practising and I was short of time I didn't receive the massage. I spent about four hours that night sitting beside an open fire trying to warm up.
Would you ever consider having cosmetic surgery?No, but I would love a cosmetic surgery pill to be invented.
Shave or wax?Wax.
What's in your bathroom cabinet?Loads of creams, oils and serums for every part of the face and body. Toothpaste, brush, floss, deodorant and lots of 'man stuff'.
Quick wipes or three-step regime?I've got my own special five-step regime. I have, for years, been disciplined in my regime. Cleanse, tone, serum, oil and moisturiser.
Do you prefer a real or bottled tan?I am lucky to have sallow skin and, even though I use a very high factor on holiday, I get a very dark tan.
Are you brand loyal?In my skincare regime I use Darphin products. I like to experiment with make-up brands.
