Wait For Me

***

Little Idiot IDIOT001
Having tried a number of variations on the theme since his multi-million seller Play, the wee man has returned to the spirit if not the body of his most successful work. Rather than the achingly soulful sounds lovingly recreated there, this is more Nordic, all plaintive strings and wistful vocals.

"Look at all the places, all my family died," sings his friend Amelia in Pale Horses, a condensed lament to who knows what. Shot In The Back Of The Head is a quietly howling instrumental, with a video directed by David Lynch in his first excursion into the field.

Good, but a silhouette of Moby's former glories.
