A MAN was killed yesterday after two kayakists got into difficulties off the Scottish coast yesterday.
Coastguards were called to the rescue at Lunan Bay, off the Angus coast, at 4.50pm.

Lifeboat crews picked up one man who was found face down in the water about 150 metres from the shore. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

The other man managed to reach the shore, and was not seriously injured. Coastguards described the incident as a "tragic accident".
