KEEN hillwalker Anthony Angus found himself looking at clouds from both sides on top of Beinn Narnain, above Arrochar, in January. Clear skies made for perfect conditions to take this snowbound scene using a Fuji Finepix F31fd camera. Given the nippy weather, 47-year-old Angus didn't have time to play about with settings, but was happy with the results achieved by using the preset landscape button.

Can you do better than this? We are looking for the best amateur photography in Scotland. The choice of subject – people, industry, nature, scenery – doesn't matter. The pictures just have to be eye-catching.

David McC,

When I first saw this photo in the magazine I thought "Why do I never get views like that when I'm in the hills". Then I realised that in truth the weather conditions had been rather similar when I was on Beinn Narnain in January. Finally it hit me that the guy in the photo is me!!! Anthony, you must be the walker I met on that tricky steep route on deep snow below the Spearhead Buttress. Great photo!
