"I took this photograph looking towards Grangemouth in mid-November, just across the road from where my wife and I live," says John Kane, who has recently taken up photography again after retiring from the Rosyth dockyard.
"The day I took this shot, my grandson Jon and I rushed down to the shore to catch the light just at the right time, about 4.30pm. He will be so chuffed it's being published."
Can you do better than this? We are looking for the best amateur photography in Scotland. The choice of subject – people, industry, nature, scenery – doesn't matter. The pictures just have to be eye-catching.
