US PRESIDENT George Bush said yesterday he has made no decision on withdrawing more US troops from Iraq, and if his top commander did not want to go beyond the reduction of forces already planned, "that's fine with me".
"The only thing I can tell you is we're on track for what we've said was going to happen," Bush said, referring to plans to withdraw 30,000 troops from Iraq by July.

Bush spoke at Camp Arifjan, a US military base in Kuwait. He said the additional troops he ordered to Iraq a year ago had turned the country into a place where "hope is returning". And he predicted a US force presence in Iraq that would long outlast his presidency. He said success in Iraq was vital to stability in the Middle East.

Wally,

I hope everyone understands that while 70% of the Americans say in opinion polls they think that all of the US troops should be withdrawn in less than 1 year from Iraq, it is nearly 90% of the votes counted in the current US presidential primary elections go to candidates who want to leave the troops in Iraq indefinitely.

The candidates who want to leave the troops in Iraq indefinitely in the large permanent bases already built are Obama, Clinton, Edwards, Thompson, McCain Guiliani, Romney & Huckabee. Only Graves, Kucinich & Paul wish to withdraw all troops quickly. Of the anti-war candidates Paul is the most popular and he is a Republican. Ironic that Democrat voters are over 90% anti-war in opinion polls, but when they vote they are over 90% pro-war.

Wally, why can't you be honest. Paul is a libertarian nutter. Just because he runs as a Republican does not make him one. If I painted black and white stripes on myself that would not make me a Zebra.

George Bush is one of the vast number of Americans who listened to Billy Graham. He has the right idea of "delivering us" from evil. Israel and Palestine will eventually live in peace together when education in the direction of "loving ones neighbour" eventually gets through. Whether Tony Blair will help in achieving this goal remains to be seen. To love ones neighbour is not confined to Christianity by the way.

Christ told us to love our enemies as well. Who else did that?
