Draft bill over coroner reform

THE article 'Killer doctor alarm ineffective' (May 4) contains a serious inaccuracy.
It is incorrect to state that reform of the coroner's role has not been taken forward. At Westminster, the Department for Constitutional Affairs has issued a draft bill and the Home Office is also active.

Moreover, there have been hints that the Scottish Fatal Accident Inquiry may be in urgent need of review.
