Tower block fire

THREE children, including a baby, had to be rescued from a smoke-filled flat after a serious fire broke out on the 15th floor of a tower block in Glasgow yesterday.
Six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze in Dobbie's Loan at 11am yesterday. Five people were taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up.

The fire was so ferocious that the flat was completely destroyed. Strathclyde police and the fire service are investigating the cause.
