A SELECTION box is for life, not just for Christmas. At least that's what it felt like in the 1970s.
The Mars bar, Double Decker – heck, even the Caramac – would be demolished before the turkey. But the Spangles, a tragic packet of boilings, were always left till last. When they were eventually peeled open and the fizzy orange flavour tickled your tastebuds, you might have started to wonder why you'd left them so long – until a razor-sharp shard of pure sugar would slice across the roof of your lawsuits?
