How does it work?My nails were filed and shaped and the cuticles tidied. A gel base coat was then applied, which acts as a protective layer to the nail and a binding agent for the next layers. To set the gel, each hand was placed i
n a UVB lamp box for two minutes. I had opted for the classic French manicure, so two coats of white were carefully applied to form tips, then two coats of clear gel. After the second coat they got four minutes each under the lamp, to bring out the shine. A final top coat was applied to help prevent any staining or discolouration and that was it, I was ready to go – nails set hard as a rock and looking perfect.
Strip off or cover up?Your coat is about all you need to remove.
Who is it for? It's great for summer holidays or ladies who like to keep their nails looking top-notch without any hassle.
Does it work?It worked particularly well with the French manicure, as the growth of my nail over the weeks wasn't noticeable, but if you have a darker colour, you may want to buy a bottle of the polish so you can avoid the gap at the bottom of the nail.
How much is it?£60 for the treatment which includes a glass of champagne.
