THE PIZZARELLI BOYS
Sunday At Pete's

***

Challenge Records CR73259, £12.99
Two generations of the Pizzarelli family – veteran rhythm guitarist (and regular visitor to Scotland) Bucky and his sons John (guitar) and Martin (bass) – plus drummer and honorary member Tony Tedesco feature on this CD which celebrates their shared life in jazz and the older relatives who influenced them.

Inevitably, there's a real sense of rapport, camaraderie and mutual intuition on the 14-track selection, which includes some of the very oldest tunes in the jazz repertoire.
