HUNDREDS of tickets for the T in the Park music festival have been put up for sale on the internet auction site eBay, some at twice their original price.
Tickets are being offered in batches of up to 20 at a time, despite a warning from the festival organisers that tickets should not be sold on.
Scotland on Sunday found 336 tickets being offered on eBay’s UK website.
Last month the festival sold out in just four days - its fastest time ever.
When tickets were on sale, buyers were limited to a maximum of eight each. But one eBay seller, contacted by Scotland on Sunday, said he could supply up to 20 tickets.
Tickets are typically going for about twice their official price on eBay. Two-day passes, which include permission to camp at the site for the weekend, were being offered for £170, compared with the original sale price of £97.
A spokeswoman for T in the Park advised music fans to shun the online sellers and instead register for extra tickets which may become available later.
