DUNDEE 0 - DUNFERMLINE 0

DUNDEE manager Alex Rae could land in murky water with the SFA again after insisting some ropey refereeing decisions are costing his side money and crucial SPL promotion points.

Rae, who overcame a six-game touchline ban by registered himself
as a sub in yesterday's thrilling 0-0 draw with Dunfermline, made an astonishing outburst towards referee John McKendrick after the game.

He could now find himself hit with another ban, but before that happens he plans to call the rulers at the SFA to level his disgust at yesterday's referee.

"I'm going to have to put in a few phonecalls this week because this is getting beyond belief," said Rae. "It's not just the referee today, the general standard is low. At half-time I jokingly said: 'I'm player-manager and I'm trying to get my point across in that capacity.' He replied: 'I'll get the last laugh.'

"What is that all about? Is it a competition? I'm trying to get my point across to win a league and we get performances like that which cost our players fortune in wages and us crucial points."

As it was, the brilliant goalkeeping of Dunfermline's Paul Gallacher probably cost Dundee more than the referee in an entertaining clash that could well have ended 3-3.

Dundee's best chance saw Eddie Malone hit the bar, while Gallacher expertly denied Scott Robertson and Kevin McDonald. At the other end, Mark Burchill was denied twice by Craig Samson. In the end, a gripping match ended in stalemate.
