A NEW BBC drama will suggest that Margaret Thatcher attempted to seduce former Tory Premier Ted Heath in her efforts to secure a Conservative seat in the 1950s.
The BBC programme, 'Margaret Thatcher – The Long Walk To Finchley', to be shown later this year, will show the former PM flirting with Heath and the two locked in each others' arms as they dance the night away at a Tory ball before going to 'take some air'.

Actually, it reveals nothing as it seems this might be a flight of fancy by the author of the play.

She did not seduce the SNP, who called for a vote of no confidence in Labour's Thatcherite policies.

Both Ted and Maggie were further to the left than any Labour PM. Besides, didn't Heath bat for the other side and was not for turning by Maggie?

Old Ted, a 'confirmed bachelor', could not have been seduced by any woman, and to portray any such seduction having ever taken place is incorrect! And for even those not in the know, there were more than enough rumours flying about over the years that revealed where his true nature lay.
