They clearly never measured the temperature on Skye.
Bring on some of global warming please - it would be rather pleasant.

I think there are serious questions to answer on the way we measure ambient temperature at ground level, such as where we locate the weather stations etc. I believe that satellite measurements tell a different story altogether.

This kind of eco-loony was more credible wearing "the end is nigh" sandwich boards. This man's attempt to secure the job permanently helps no one but himself.

Our climate has started to cool again - the latest Sun-cycle 24 has kicked in, bringing cooler weather and, no doubt, eco-loonies' claims of an impending ice age.

They should get a real job. Or at least try to.

The statement "the past half decade saw the warmest five years in Scotland since 1914" is ambiguous.

It should have stated "the past half decade saw the warmest five years in Scotland since 1914, when records began."

The half decade around 1914 was significantly cooler than at present.

Skeptics R Us!

When I was a boy children would paint the sun yellow because it was yellow. Now it's white - because we destroyed the ozone layer allowing in more ultraviolet rays. That spells all kinds of health risks.

Now we have upset weather patterns, but we don't want to believe it. We want business as usual.

Some advice: Keep yer wellies close and an eye oan the river.
