The MoD have, once again, illustrated that they are a bunch of incompetent shiny-bums who no nothing of the men in the field, and care even less.

They are, of course, following the lead of Maggie Broon, who has a strong dislike of the military. He's happy enough for them to help fight his (and Bliar's) illegal wars, but there is no way he is going to put himself out for them by either providing proper equipment or decent compensation.

In any event, enough is enough. Bring our troops home, now.

The campaign to bring the troops home should revamp that song from Les Miserables - 'Bring Him Home' and change it to 'Bring Them Home', make it an anthem to get our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Dreadful the insurers are'nt making enough profit, from careless soldiers who get injured in unjust and uneccessary wars.

At least the arms manufacturers and ammunition suppliers are going well.

#7. Timbo ... the true master on this forum of re-writing song lyrics was our late bard, Scaramouche. I don't have his gift ... but he inspired me into doing it and I enjoy it. It's just fun! But, fun used to make a point! :))

Let's be clear on two points so as to not raise our expectation unrealistically of what the MoD actually is;

1. Its employees, especially those whose manipulations, Masonic connections, and general mendacity, are principally interested in their own welfare, promotions, retirement, etc. and could not give monkey's toss about anyone in uniform.

2. The primary purpose of the MoD is to suppprt and perpetuate the interests of the ModD and has nothing whatsoever to do with the well-being or fighting capabilities of the various military and naval branches.
