How does the catholic church separate the men from the boys?
They suspend the priests who sleep with men, but hide in an other country the ones who sleep with boys!!!
#2 DH
The mad mullahs and their flock are just as hypocritical.
I've just spent some time in the Middle East, and boy do those characters drink and fornicate like there was no tomorrow!!
Pattaya in Thailand is a favourite hang out for the Gulf Brigade, and the planes between Dubai, and Muscat etc, are full of large groups of supposedly Muslim men heading to SE Asia for cheap alcohol and easy sex.
You know this new pope is so far in the closet, he's in ruddy Narnia.
You couldn't make this up.
The Catholic Church prevaricates and does nothing when its priests rape children and yet condems sex between consenting adults.
This is one sick and twisted organization.
Hold on. The CTS will be on shortly telling you that you're all sectarian!
Time to find out some juicys about the CofS!
1Thought it was "with a crowbar".
#1 Well pointed out.
The Vicars of Christ, these popes who deem themselves infallible demi gods are a disgrace to humanity.
Their history is littered with murder, rape and incest, their hatred knows no bounds, they are discriminatory racists hell bent on spreading their filth across the planet and its time that people stood up against them.
Its not so much that they see homosexuality as a sin that bothers me, its the fact that they are responsible for countless murders and wars, mass killings and rape, yet they see homosexuality as a crime against this god they spout to the masses.
The RC is without doubt, the woman who rides the beast
How sad to see so many who are keen to look for every chance to attack the Catholic Church. The Church is simply trying to uphold its moral teaching on homosexuality.
#11 Let it uphold it's moral teaching on homosexuality by suspending all those that have had sex with little boys (or little girls) too.
You cannot take a moral stand in one case, and turn a blind eye in another, and expect people not to be critical.
"Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone."
"Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (although they'll try.)
First of all, the article is incorrect by stating that the Catholic Church sees homosexuality as a sin. The Catholic church sees homosexual ACTS as a sin, not homosexuality itself. That means that it wouldn't matter what sexual orientation a person is, committing homosexual acts would be a sin regardless (e.g. two heterosexual women making out). If anyone read at least one article from an official Catholic source about its stance on homosexuality, they would realize that the statement is wrong.
#2 The Catholic Church neither condones nor approves of any pedophilic acts done by priests. Just because there has been a sudden rush of allegations flooding the news media of priests molesting children, it doesn't mean ALL priests are like this, and it doesn't mean that ALL Catholics condone it. The reason why these things have been allowed to happen is because of those individual rotten apples. Blame them and don't "burn the whole church at the stake" like others have accused the church of doing to other people.
#5, who said the Catholic church has done nothing? what about those different times when the Vatican has defrocked certain priests for being pedophiles? It's in the news, why don't you go look it up and stop searching only for articles that cater to your biased opinions. And again, not all Catholics condone such acts. Stop generalizing all of us, nimrod.
#10, the pope is not infallible 100% of the time, only when he announces a new doctrine. This means that if the pope chooses to give his opinion about something, it doesn't mean he's protected from error. Only when it pertains to the Magisterium (teachings of the church). In other words, HE IS STILL PRONE TO MAKING MISTAKES. Also, since when has any institution's history been perfect? Protestant history is not perfect, nor is the history of the Jews and the Muslims. War and murder have never been OFFICIALLY condoned by the church (as in the whole Catholic church has
THANK YOU..Richard Hawkins... you have clearly stated the position of the Catholic Church and all of us who try to live out the teachings of the Catholic Church are grateful for your explanations.
#14 Several points well made but no church is above the law,and there are cases in scotland where the church did not report pedophile priests to the police that is clearly wrong.
The key issue for the Catholic Church is not to get caught and bring scandal upon the church. Violate this rule and you're thrown out immediately. Get found out internally and you're just moved on somewhere else. The church puts its reputation above all else.
