At the risk of being pedantic, I must point out that the Republican senators' vote was to continue debate rather than a vote to end it. The rules of the US senate require a 3/5ths vote to end debate, as the Democratic senators desired, and force a vote on a resolution.

We listened to the whining of some of the Republican Senate leaders last week. Funny that all of a sudden they've found religion. These are the same people who wouldn't allow open discussion for 12 years when they held the majority. They went wild when Dems would fillibuster. Now I guess it's okay for them to do it. Hopefully, the John Warner branch will hold their fellow republicans' feet to the fire. Sununu got his wake up call. Let's see if he takes action or lays in wait for his defeat in 2 yrs.

Obama has told the Chicago branch of the Oligarchy's Council on Foreign Relations that he will be for action against Iran 'to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons' which is code for 'war against Iran.' The mainstream media is busy giving this new Establishment face top billing while absolutely ignoring Ron Paul. Obama is selling the same kind of smarmy nonsense that Royal is trying to peddle in France...another "guns and butter" Democratic presidency like Johnson's will be the price of an Obama presidency, to finish Queen George's likely war against Iran...probably with the "terror tax" proposed by Democratic Senator "Lemmewinks" Lieberman.
