SIR Menzies Campbell issued a battle cry on the environment last night on the eve of the Liberal Democrats' conference.
Arriving in Brighton for what he says could be the party's last gathering before a general election, Sir Menzies insisted no one else had the detailed policies to tackle climate change.

After pulling up in a bio-fuel-powered Saab - borrowed especially for his journey - Sir Menzies told journalists: "We are the only party with radical and detailed policies to deal with climate change."

I hope he's not going to say "Go back to you're constituencies and prepare for government".

I wonder how far he actually journeyed in that car?

"the only party with radical and detailed policies to deal with climate change". Really? What does Ming plan to do then about cosmic rays falling upon the Earth from distant supernovae, and what does he plan to do about variations in the Sun's energy output?

I imagine he thinks we're idiots.

His Lib Dem Ministers up here pushed through motorway expansion and subsidies for shorthaul flying.

This nonsense is like Herod pretending he's got a HNC in Child Protection.

#4 Doubt if the "cosmic rays" from distant supernovae even reach the Earth - ever heard of the Solar Wind? (no it's not Sir Ming or Lord Haw Haw).

"variations in the Sun's energy output" - Really? You've been playing on the Internet too much. You shouldn't read all you believe.

Does his plans for dealing with climate change involve exterminating the 37% of the world's population which lives in India and China, which have no plans or concerns whatsoever on climate change?
