Mone warns new 50% income tax risks alienating business

LINGERIE tycoon Michelle Mone, left, last night revealed she has withdrawn her support for the Labour party in anger at its economic policies.
The self-made millionaire, who built up her Ultimo bra empire from scratch, said the Government's recent moves risked alienating business and damaging the economy. She branded the new 50p top rate of tax for those on incomes over £150,000 "a disgrace".

Mone said: "I don't mind paying more tax if the real benefits are being felt by schools, the health service, the elderly and businesses. But to just come and ask for more money to throw away is crazy."

You dont start paying 50% until you earn over £150000 and only earnings over £150000 is taxed at 50% plus if you pay into a pension you will recieve 50% of that back therefore your tax will only be 25% plus Nat ins is only 1% over £38000 per year, then there are the so called legal tax loophole that have not yet been plugged. One of these days the rich will pay their fare share

I thought that you were leaving Scotland when the population decided that the SNP were to lead in Holyrood?
A word of advice Michelle, engage brain before operating mouth, Michelle you should have kept trying to sell your knickers instead of dropping our own, never run them up any flag pole no matter what any politician says it is a lie, and I have been listening to them of all colours for 60 years.

For years rhe highest earners have paid the lowest relative rate of tax.
Those on £150,000 can afford to pay more tax though with aour current system they can afford to pay accountants to make sure they pay very little.

We never heard a peep out of this right wing scumbag over NEW LABOURS murderous Iraq debacle, but dare to make the rich and greedy pay a little more and she squeals like a stuffed pig !
