For the music fan who values fine tunes and equally fine food, Connect returns for its sophomore year, on the bonny banks of Loch Fyne

WHAT?

It's boutique in every sense (apart from the fact that it's run by DF Concerts). Making use of the produce and spectacular scenery around Loch Fyne, as well as some genuinely good music, will the second Connect live up to the first? Goldfrapp, Sigur Ros, Franz Ferdinand, Manic Street Preachers and the Breeders are on the bill so far, which is improving with each new announcement.

Festival frenzy: if you enjoy matching vintage tea dresses with your Cath Kidston wellies and tent

Festival flop: if your idea of festival nosh is more Big Mac than organic Loch Fyne oysters
