RED TOP REVIEW Tommy Burns saved Rangers star's lifeThe Scottish Sun leads its front page with the story of former Rangers player and soccer pundit Craig Paterson, who says the death of Tommy Burns
saved his life. Celtic legend Burns recently lost his life to skin cancer aged 51. Paterson tells the Sun that his death prompted him to get a mole checked out which proved to be cancerous but was caught early enough not to claim his life. It was Paterson's wife, Christine, who noticed a mole on her husband's shoulder blade had turned a strange shape and colour. Just days after Burns's death, Paterson wasted no time getting to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where the mole was removed and found to be cancerous. Two weeks later he was given the all-clear. "If it wasn't for Tommy, I would never have done anything about the mole – like a typical bloke. I wish with all my heart he was here, talking about getting the good news."
Duran Duran singer's a big Le Bon-nie lad You wouldn't know it from the weather here, but there's plenty of sunshine abroad and that means pictures of celebrities in their swimwear accompanied by vicious captions. Simon Le Bon and his wife Yasmin get the treatment today on their holiday in Sardinia. The
Daily Mirror observes that "Simon Le Tum's got a lot of front" while Yasmin is still "Le Bonny". The Sun observes: "Simon Le Bon once sang about being Hungry Like The Wolf. And it looks like he has satisfied that craving with a mountain of cakes." Most appalling of all for the Duran Duran singer is the Daily Record, which has a giant picture of 49-year-old Mr Le Bon with his hand stuck down the front of his Speedos. "It was probably just a Reflex – but some things are better kept private," says the paper.
Life in stirFinally, the Sun and Record trade blows with that staple of tabloid land: the prisoner story.
The Record tells how double killer Christopher Hutcheson was attacked by fellow cons who dropped a 42-inch flat screen television on his head from a second-floor walkway in Kilmarnock Prison. Of course, it was once considered outrageous that prisoners were allowed colour televisions at all. Now they are being used as gravity-assisted assassination weapons. Hutcheson, who must have a titanium skull, is apparently recovering in hospital from a "flesh wound".
The Sun's story tells how Stuart Leggate, serving life for the murder of a boy in Glasgow, is demanding plastic surgery on the NHS so he is safe from reprisals on release. The paper quotes an insider at Peterhead jail as saying: "Leggate's a beast of the worst kind. He wants the prison service to pay for this op – if they do, it'll be a national scandal."

Look at these great pics of Toccara Jones. Wonderful dress, great shoes and fabulous, fabulous hair. she looks amazing. Now take a look at him – Shawty Shawty (too idle even to think up a different surname). Shorts, some ratty old shirt and trainers – hardly making an effort, is it?
