Wanderers boosted by Cox return
Cox, who scored 23 tries in 22 outings last season, has been absent from the Championship B side for the past two matches due to illness and unavailability but coach Bruce Aitchison is delighted to have him back operating alongside stand-off Liam Thomas, who was once in the Cardiff development squad, and centre Chris Hardie – who represented Melrose in the British and Irish Cup last season.
Both have moved to Edinburgh and were attracted to a Wanderers club who are fielding seven teams at all levels this weekend. Aitchison said: “We gave nothing away last week in edging out a Haddington team who are becoming well drilled by Tom Philip (ex-Scotland) and that will have to continue because Perthshire are poised to introduce a raft of New Zealander recruits.”
