Thomas Enqvist will defend title in Edinburgh
“I’m very happy to come back and play and try to defend my title in Edinburgh,” said the Swede, who won the inaugural event at the home of Edinburgh Accies rugby club last year.
Around 10,000 spectators saw the action last year, watching players such as John McEnroe, Goran Ivanisevic, Greg Rusedski and Tim Henman. Enqvist is the first competitor to be confirmed for this year’s event, with more names expected to be added over the coming few weeks.

“We’ve learned a lot from our first year and have made some significant improvements to the spectator experience, so we’re looking forward to another terrific weekend of tennis from some of the game’s best-known names,” said the tournament director, Viki Mendelssohn.
