Stephen Gallacher is top Scot
STEPHEN Gallacher's excellent run of form, which continued with a top-25 finish in the Open Championship, has enabled him to get a Scottish golfer back into the top 100 of the world rankings.
The 35-year-old, who started the year at 441, has leapt 12 places to 96th and will secure a place in the season's final major, next month's USPGA, if he stays in the top 100 until after the Irish Open in a fortnight.
Martin Laird is down to 120th, with Colin Montgomerie a lowly 363rd.
