Rugby: Muir patience is required
Clapperton said: "We were anxious last week that it was going to come down to the toss of a coin or cutting cards to decide who went through then, fortunately, dispensation was provided to keep trying.
"Neither team wants the tie settled off the pitch and everything possible is being done to find a first round opponent for Cartha QP but I've never known a situation where a match has been called off so frequently."
Clapperton admits the uncertainty has proved distracting.

We were targeting a league win over Watsonians last Friday but that was shelved in the attempt to play the cup tie," he said. "Kirkcaldy ran us close in the pre-season friendly. They've got a big pack and we'll start by trying to win the battle up front."
