Rugby League: Biting allegation in Hull derby to be investigated
Hull KR stand-off Scott Murrell claimed he had been bitten on the arm while making a tackle in his side's 21-4 win over Hull FC in the Engage Super League elimination play-off at the KC Stadium. Referee Phil Bentham stopped play 37 minutes into the match after Murrell made the allegation, pointing to apparent bite marks on his right arm, and put the incident on report.
The League say they will study reports from both the referee and match commissioner before deciding whether to take any action.
