Rugby: British Army claim silverware
On a day when the weather was kind for once, hundreds of rugby players gathered for a full schedule of matches, and from the off it was clear that the British Army, with a number of skilful Fijians in their ranks, were the favourites.

However, it was the Godfathers, a team formed at Exeter University, that eventually emerged as winners.
Meanwhile, in the plate event it was the Samba 7s, featuring players such as Stewart’s Melville’s Seb Trotter, who picked up the silverware.
Autograph hunters were also well served with Scotland players such as David Denton and Ruairidh Jackson spotted amongst the healthy crowd.
