Players will pay tribute to Blasberg
PURPLE ribbons will be worn by the players at the LPGA Tour event in Alabama this week after the death of 25-year-old Erica Blasberg on Sunday.
Police investigations are continuing with the Californian player's father, Mel, being quoted as saying: "At first glance it looks like she might have taken her own life, but at second glance something is very, very strange about it."
Tour commissioner Mike Whan said: "There never are right words when someone leaves at 25."
The police responded to an emergency call from Blasberg's Nevada home and had found her dead when they arrived.
