Hide AdMeanwhile, Peter Sagan claimed the sixth stage of the Vuelta a Espana yesterday to cap a dominant finish by his Liquigas-Cannondale team.
Slovakian Sagan completed the 196.8-kilometres ride from Ubeda to Cordoba in four hours, 38 minutes and 22 seconds, just ahead of Movistar’s Pablo Lastras.
The Liquigas team boasted four of the top five finishers.
Sylvain Chavanel of France remains in the overall lead while Britain’s Bradley Wiggins has moved up one place in the general classification to 20th.
