Goosen and Furyk set pace in Texas
The tournament in San Antonio is the last tour event before next week’s US Masters and Furyk and Goosen, who hold three US Opens between them, are among a host of big names hoping to gain momentum.
Furyk followed up Thursday’s 69 with a round of 70 to sit five under, one shot behind clubhouse leaders Daniel Summerhays and Charley Hoffman, and Goosen went one better with a 69 to sit in the same group.

Hoffman carded six birdies and one bogey to move into the lead with a 67.

Summerhays shot a 69 to set the early pace.
Starting on the back nine, the American bogeyed the 11th before a run of three birdies saw him surge up the leaderboard.
A further birdie was to come on the first to move him to six under and two further bogeys and birdies saw him finish the day that way.
