Fraser on Fishing: Glencorse to be savoured
Early reports suggested that the dam wall was fishing particularly well but the Armada of boats persuaded me to go right to the top end.
I went out with a floating line with a black Dancer on the point and a two tone Blob on the dropper.

Hide AdCasting into the rings the fish were making brought about my first offer. A good fish of more than 4lb nearly wrenched the rod out of my hands and, as I wrestled it near to the boat, it slipped the hook. That was the first of many fish to get hooked over the next few hours and they kept on the feed all day.
Nearly every angler had their limit on various lines and flies. If this is what we can come to expect at the fishery then I reckon it will be packed out every outing.
Next Saturday, April 21, at Kailzie Gardens in Peebles, Bob Malcolm of Forth 2 is running his cash for kids competition. At £50 with lunch and various prizes including rods, whisky and other goodies it is designed for every angler no matter what their skill level. E-mail Bob at [email protected] .
