Whitehill undone by keeper’s heroics
The game got off to a slow start but when the first chance arrived it called for a great save from Stirling goalkeeper Kevin Walker. The opportunity came after Aaron Somerville burst down the left wing and released a cross-goal effort which looked destined for the bottom corner before Walker’s intervention.
Several similar efforts followed for Whitehill, but with the away side unable to convert, the match remained goalless after 45 minutes. Whitehill quickly picked up where the left off, with winger Steven Manson having an effort tipped onto the post before McIntosh had a one on one skilfully saved by the heroic Walker.

Hide AdStirling looked to get back into the match and a period of possession allowed several dangerous crosses but their efforts came to nothing. Their persistence paid off however, as they snatched the winner five minutes from time. After substitute McKee played a deep cross, the ball was cut back to centre goal where the prolific Chris Geddes who made no mistake.
