Hibs weigh up move to bring back Kenny Miller
Kenny Miller’s failure to agree a new deal with Rangers has alerted Hibs who are pondering a move for the veteran striker. Miller, 37, began his senior career at Easter Road before signing for Rangers for the first time in 2000. He is out of contract in the summer and has yet to be offered a new deal by the Ibrox side. He has been in fine form this season, scoring nine goals. (Daily Express)
Pedro Caixinha to be named new Rangers manager on Friday
Rangers will announce Pedro Caixinha as their new manager on Friday but he will not be in charge for Sunday’s match against Celtic. The Ibrox club’s bid to bring Caixinha to Scotland has been protracted affair but he has now been granted permission to join Rangers by his current club, Al-Gharafa of Qatar. Compensation is still to be agreed, however, and caretaker boss Graeme Murty will remain in charge for the Celtic game. (The Sun)

Ally McCoist has described Rangers’ plans to appoint a director of football as “absolute nonsense” and claimed it is a waste of wage. Former Ibrox manager McCoist believes the key issues for the club is to get more investment in the playing squad.
