Comprehensive. Dominant. Job done. Celtic’s Tuesday evening in the Champions League was a success as they swatted aside a KR Reykjavik far below the level of the Scottish champions. It secured passage into the next round of the qualifiers with only one tie being played until the play-off stage.
Following the Old Firm’s performance in Europe over the past two seasons, Scotland has earned an extra European place but the onus is on Celtic and Rangers, as well as Aberdeen and Motherwell to perform to high standards once again this year.
