Who will progress to the delayed Euro 2020 Championships next summer, and play some of their group stage games at Hampden, will be decided on the night in what is sure to be 90, or 120, nerve-jangling minutes.
It’s not the first qualification cliffhanger the national side has been involved in, and there’s a varied history when it comes to the matches that matter.
There have been play-off wins, play-off defeats and late drama aplenty be they successful qualification campaigns or otherwise.
There’s even, as recently as last month, been a penalty shoot-out too.
With it all on the line on Thursday night in Serbia, we looked back on nine all-or-nothing Scotland cliffhangers over the years – which way will Steve Clarke’s make-or-break night in Belgrade go?
1. won 2-0 vs Latvia, 1997
