Hearts boss John McGlynn praised by Danny Lennon for leading on youth
St Mirren manager Lennon is a huge fan of McGlynn’s work and believes he can bring success to Hearts in the short and long term. While determined to set his counterpart’s plans back a few steps this afternoon when the Jambos travel to Paisley on league business, Lennon said: “John’s a down-to-earth guy who works very hard.
“He’s very pragmatic and very much a hands-on manager and I’m delighted to see him get the opportunity to manage his beloved club.

“He’ll also try to put his own stamp on things and already John is starting to develop younger players like Dale Carrick, Callum Paterson and Arvydas Novakovas.
“So I wish John and his staff all the best in their season ahead – but only when they don’t play us.”
McGlynn has a full squad from which to choose following the international break, all of his players who were involved with their countries returning to Tynecastle unscathed.
And the Hearts manager said: “That’s a massive plus because you always fear that (players picking up injuries) as a manager who has players on international duty.
“Especially when you don’t have a massive squad and when our two centre backs, Webster and Zaliukas, who were away. They are big, big players for us and are experienced members of the team.”
