Referee named for Scottish Cup final between Celtic and Hearts
This is the whistler’s first Scottish Cup final as the leading match official. He was previously an additional assistant referee (those behind the goal-line) for the 2013 and 2016 finals.
Beaton will be assisted by Frank Connor and Graeme Leslie running the line. Alan Muir is the fourth official, while Nick Walsh and Kevin Clancy are the additional assistants.

Hide AdThe 2019/20 showdown takes place at Hampden Park on Sunday, December 20. It is a repeat of the 2019 final where Celtic came from a goal down in the second half to complete a historic treble-treble.
Though the Scottish champions’ dominance of domestic football came to an end with the 2-0 defeat to Ross County last month, they can still make it officially 12 successive major honours won with victory over Robbie Neilson’s men, a run stretching back to the 2016/17 campaign.
